Welcome to The 15th Israeli Bioinformatics Symposium

We are happy to announce the 15th IBS meeting which will take place on June 27th 2013 at the Ben Gurion University of the Negev.

Location: The talks will be given at the Sonnenfeld Auditorium (building 72 in the map). Lunch, dinner and poster sessions will take place in the Senate Building Foyer (building 71 in the map).

To celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Israeli society of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology annual meetings, this year we will have a unique exciting program including a dinner reception with a Keynote Lecture by Isaac Kohane, Director of HST's Bioinformatics and Integrative Genomics Program and Co-Director of the HMS Center for Biomedical Informatics in Harvard Medical School.

Our Keynote Speaker from BGU is Ohad Birk, Head of the Genetics Institute at Soroka University Medical Center.

The special program this year includes three major sessions: Systems and Synthetic Biology, Genomics and Epigenetics, From Protein Translation to Folding and Beyond. Each session will be introduced by a perspective talk from the leading scientist in the field, a lecture by a senior researcher and short lectures by leading young principle investigators from the different universities in Israel.

Among our speakers this year are Michael Levitt, Ron Shamir, Naama Barkai, Michal Linial, Eytan Ruppin, and Zohar Yakhini.

In addition, we will have two poster sessions with posters covering all bioinformatics disciplines. We highly encourage you to submit a poster, generous prizes will be awarded to best poster winners.
